And details of the talk at the AGM are in this previous post.
The talk given by Vince Brimble of Sainsburys at the Sustainable Witney AGM was so popular and interesting we ran out of time to complete the business of the meeting.
The Sustainable Witney AGM was adjourned at 9pm on Wednesday 16th February and will be reconvened in the Back Room of The Plough at 6:30pm on Tuesday 1st March 2011.
The meeting will last no longer than 30 minutes to elect the committee for the coming year.
Note: venue changed to Congregational Church on Welch Way.
Sustainable Witney’s first Annual General Meeting will take place at 7pm on 16th February in the Congregational Church on Welch Way (next to the Halifax).
Vince Brimble, store manager of Sainsburys in Witney, will be speaking to us about the measures Sainsburys are taking to make their operation in Witney more sustainable.
Previously a store manager in Beaconsfield and also in Kidlington where he worked with the Oxford Food Bank project.
The business of the meeting will follow the talk. Resolutions to be moved at the meeting must reach the Secretary by Wednesday 9th February.
In anticipation of reaching critical mass sometime soon, and the ensuing deluge of posts, we have upgraded the Forum to make it more user friendly.
You’ll find a new forum group ‘Website Support’ to resolve problems you come across and provide tips in using it; the first two are on inserting pictures and email reminders. We’ve also moved the noticeboard there too.
Let us know via the forum if there’s anything that doesn’t work for you, or that you can’t figure out how to do, and we’ll see if we can crack it and post the answer.
The ‘Groups’ section is still under development, but if you have a group that’s too small to justify its own website and forum but think you might benefit from having one then get in touch. Groups with a sustainable agenda are welcome to have their own section in the forum.
So what did you think of the budget? [Add Topic]
