Reminder: our quarterly meeting is on Wednesday

Just a quick reminder that the Sustainable Witney quarterly committee meeting is this Wednesday at the Como Lounge on Market Square. As ever, non-members are welcome even if you know nothing about the group and you’re just coming along to find out what we do! We’ll be discussing:

Tandem Festival

April 20th, 2015

Tandem Festival is a not-for-profit music and sustainability festival taking place at Hill End. It launched last year with a mixture of live music, theatre, sustainability workshops and more. This year promises to be just as good! We’re not sure if Sustainable Witney will be officially involved, but there will definitely be a strong presence from Oxfordshire’s CAGs: Bicester Green, Broken Spoke and Think Tiny are among the groups already booked to run workshops at the festival.

Free tour of Oxford food waste recycling plant

Oxford City Council is offering a free tour of its food waste recycling facilities. A minibus will leave Cowley Marsh depot at 9:15am and return at about noon. Booking is essential to ensure a place on this tour. To book, or to get more information, email

Spring planning meeting: all welcome!

On Wednesday 22 April we’ll be having our spring planning meeting at the Como Lounge on Market Square.

The committee and other volunteers will be there from 7pm, so come along if you’re interested in what we’re doing, or want to learn about sustainability in Witney more generally!
