A Car Club For Witney

If you use a car infrequently, keep a second car just in case, or have no car at all, then a car club could be just right for you.

Use of a car by the hour when you need it.

Maintenance, Tax and Insurance taken care of.

No parking problems – each club car has a designated parking space.

Look out for our leaflets to register your interest, available at the Swap Shop this Saturday.

Wanted: Swap Shop Volunteers

We need more volunteers to help the Swap Shop to run smoothly on Saturday 19th March.

Between 8am and 1pm help is needed to set up tables, weigh goods, sort goods into type, to work in the cafe, and to clear up.

Sign Of The Times

Some twenty years ago Cyclists Dismount signs appeared on every approach to Five Ways roundabout. It was never made clear how someone travelling by bike ought to negotiate the roundabout, and despite complaints at the time and in the intervening years they remained in place.

For cycles to be taken seriously as a form of transport, WitneyBUG concluded that we really had to wipe the slate clean and get these advisory signs removed. It was that or have the DfT introduce an advisory “Drivers Alight” sign. Silly? Of course it is.
